Policies and Procedures

 Welcome to LESC INTERNAZIONALE:

LESC INTERNAZIONALE players' parents, employees, volunteers, coaches and agents will do everything in their power to teach, guide, and encourage players. However, players must demonstrate passion, dedication, and Commitment to the Academy.

EXPECTATIONS & GUIDELINES FOR PLAYERS

1)  Demonstrate fair play and good sportsmanship at every practice, game, and tournament. Encourage fair play and good sportsmanship from your teammates.

2) Attend every practice and game and notify your coach as soon as possible if you cannot make a game or a practice.

3) All players from the academy should report to practices & games on time. If players are late, the coaches are not obligated to put them in the game to make up for lost time.

4) Attend practices and games ready to learn. Accept responsibility for bringing any equipment necessary for practice and games. Know that shin guards are mandatory and play in games or practices is not permissible without shin guards, and that jewelry is not allowed to be worn during games. Wear the proper uniform to all games.

5)  Listen, watch, and learn from your coaches. If you do not understand a concept or coaching point, we encourage you to ask questions, and try to learn to the best of your ability.

6) Always treat other players, coaches, officials, and fans with respect, and expect to be treated accordingly. Do not direct negative comments to them on or off the field.

7)  If your division has referees, recognize that refereeing is a difficult job, and that the Referee is given the full and sole authority to judge the match by the Laws of the Game. Do not argue or make any negative comments to the referees before, during, or after the match. Show respect for and support the referees and accept their judgments.

8)  Remember that you are representing LESC Internazionale, and poor behavior during practices, games, or tournaments may result in lost playing time or even expulsion from the team, if it continues repeatedly.

9) All MSI Rec and Classic players must commit to the club for the season. For travel players, they must commit to the club season from September 1 – July 1. During this time players and parents are also committed to the cost of $2,300 to $2,500 – which is dependent upon the age or level the player is participating in. Lastly, no players are allowed to play for any other club or team without the consent or direction of the LESC Director.

10) All players once committed to the club are expected to only play for the club unless directed otherwise by coach, director or club.

11) All players on financial aid must sign “Scholarships Code of Conduct” as well as the LESC Code of Conduct

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND SPECTATORS

1) All travel players are expected to be committed to LESC for the entire season which begins September 1 and ends July 1. Players will not be permitted to play for any other club or team during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. If a player decides to leave during the season from July 1 – September 1, each one of these cases will be evaluated individually by the LESC Director, but commitment of payment is annual, which includes the fall, winter, and spring seasons.

2)  Provide positive reinforcement, care, and encouragement to the teams. Refrain from making negative comments to any child or his/her teammates on and off the field about their soccer team, teammates, referees, and coaches. Do not be a sideline coach or referee.

3)  Encourage fair play and good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every practice, game, or tournament. No parent is allowed to play or coach during practice or games. Parents should always remain off the field of play.

4)  Place the emotional and physical well-being of your child and other players ahead of the desire to win.

5)  Support coaches and officials who instruct your child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. Realize the coaches are making a substantial commitment to LESC Internazionale and your child.

6)  You may talk to coaches before and after practices but not directly after games. Please wait until the next day or training session to speak to your coach.

7)  Please address any questions or concerns with the administration and not the coaches so that the coaches can focus on practices and games.

8)  Do your best to make soccer fun for your child, and remember that your child is the one playing the game, and not you. Realize that the benefits of development, teamwork, and fun far outweigh the benefits or emphasis on winning at any cost.

9)  Treat other fans, coaches, players, and officials with respect. Do not coach or yell instructions from the sideline to any player, including your own child, realizing that this may confuse or distract the players during practices and matches, may conflict with the coach’s direction, and could put unnecessary pressure on the players.

10)  Remember that as a fan, you represent LESC Internazionale. Poor behavior during practices, games, or tournaments may result in expulsion from the soccer field. If this happens repeatedly, it could result in expulsion from the club. Do not publicly speak badly about our club as this behavior can negatively affect future opportunities for players and coaches.

11) Recognize that refereeing is a difficult job, and that by the laws of the game, the referee is given the full and sole authority to judge the match. Do not argue or make any direct negative comments to the referees before, during, or after the match . Show respect and support for the referees, and accept their judgments.

10) LESC Internazionale has the right to photograph and/or film your son or daughter. For example, gameplay shots during our upcoming season will be uploaded to the website. (Social media outlets as well) advertisements and promotions such as flyers and banners could contain these kinds of media as well. Things of this nature should be encouraged, as we believe it will only help us grow. Player excitement and enthusiasm is an essential component of the environment we are creating.

12)  Know that heavy rain, lightning and/or thunder, high winds, tornado warnings and unusually wet field conditions can result in the cancellation of practice.

13)  Coaches are not responsible for players after practice is over. Parents should be present in order to pick up their children once practice has ended.

14)  Payments will be made before the season starts. (League fees are not included in any season payment and the only payment method is credit card or debit card. League fees will not be accepted if season payments are late.)

15)   b) Payments must be made on time, the club is reserved the right to enforce late fees and penalties for not meeting payment deadlines for league and training fees. The penalties could result in suspension or possibly expulsion .

SUSPENSION & EXPULSION POLICY: Disrespectful, unsportsmanlike, and/or disruptive behavior on ANY of our teams can and any disregard for the guidelines listed result in academy suspension for 10 days or full expulsion from the club depending on the seriousness of the offense.
